Big E has praised his New Day tag team partner Kofi Kingston for the “incredible performances” that he continues to put in as a WWE star.
Kofi Kingston faced Ivar of the Viking Raiders on the September 18 WWE Raw.
The match came about after Kingston played a game of “Dwayne, Paper, Scissors” (see the Tweet below).
Kingston would go on to defeat the Viking Raiders member with the Trouble in Paradise.
Big E sent a message of respect to Kingston after the match that read:
“I’m clearly biased but I’m thankful we still get to watch @TrueKofi deliver incredible performances this deep into his career.
“Grateful for you, legend, while we still have you in the ring.”
Kingston would respond with a GIF and message of his own:
“My dawg…”
It has previously been revealed that medical professionals have advised Big E to not wrestle again.
Big E said that he and the company have discussed the idea of him becoming a commentator.
Kingston signed with WWE in 2006 and has gone on to become four-time Intercontinental Champion, three-time United States Champion and a former WWE Champion.
He has held the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship on six occasions and the SmackDown Tag Team Championship seven times.
Also a former World Tag Team Champion and NXT Tag Team Champion, he is a WWE Grand Slam Champion.
I wanted to be out there tearing @Ivar_WWE apart but @TrueKofi won the Dwayne, Paper, Scissors match earlier today https://t.co/u8r3tG3kn0
