Grand Theft Auto V celebrated its 10th anniversary on Sunday, September 17, and Rockstar Games marked the milestone with a thank-you message to fans for their support over the past decade. Rockstar did not, however, say or tease anything about the next GTA game. There was no good reason to believe this would happen, but fans nonetheless thought it might.
As for the anniversary statement, Rockstar said, “We would like to thank you, our players, for your incredible support over the years. This amazing community is the reason GTAV has thrived across multiple console generations and given us the opportunity to grow and update GTA Online with new features and content over these past 10 years, and your support is truly humbling.”
Rockstar added: “A massive thank you to anyone who has ever played, streamed, roleplayed, created, or shared from the world of Los Santos and Blaine County–here’s to many more adventures together!”
