Big Turn During NXT Tag Team Title Unification Match At Worlds Collide

by | Sep 4, 2022 | Sport, Wrestling | 0 comments

At Worlds Collide, The Creed Brothers, Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen, Pretty Deadly, and Gallus faced off in a bout to unify the NXT and NXT UK tag titles.

NXT UK Tag Team Champions Briggs & Jensen were actually the first eliminated from the bout, sent packing by Gallus. The Creed Brothers next eliminated Gallus, leaving the Creeds and Pretty Deadly.

In the closing moments of the chaotic bout, Gallus’ brawl with Briggs & Jensen spilled over to ringside and inadvertently dropped the referee.

While the referee was out of action, Damon Kemp turned on the Creed Brothers, attacking Julius Creed with a chair. Pretty Deadly picked up the win over the prone Creed.

Kemp is notably the brother of Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson.

More title unification bouts are scheduled for this show, with Mandy Rose, Meiko Satomura and Blair Davenport set to meet in a NXT vs NXT UK Women’s Title bout, and  Bron Breakker to clash with Tyler Bate in a match with both the NXT and NXT UK championships on the line.
