Nigeria’s Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima, arrived at this polling unit in Maiduguri on Saturday morning to vote for his preferred governorship and house of assembly candidates in Borno State.
Naija News understands that Shettima performed his civic right at his Lawan Kukawa polling unit (PU 023) in Lamisula ward, in the state capital of Borno.
Shettima and his principal, Bola Tinubu, would be sworn in in in May 2023 as president and Vice President of Nigeria following their victory in the just concluded February 25th presidential poll.
In Borno State, however, the incumbent Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum is seeking reelection for a second term on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
